The Concept
Comet was born from a simple but clear idea: create a place in Marrakech where quality is not a luxury. Not a gimmick, not a trend, just a well-executed coffee shop that takes its product seriously and its atmosphere even more so. The name says it all — Comet positions itself as your first stop in the city, the kind of place you come back to every morning without thinking twice.
Open seven days a week from 8AM, it fills a gap that Marrakech has long needed: a specialty café that combines great coffee, ceremonial-grade matcha, a proper homemade bakery, and a space designed to make you want to slow down. Whether you are a local looking for a reliable daily ritual or a visitor who refuses to start the day with a mediocre espresso, Comet is built for you.

The Coffee
The coffee menu at Comet covers all the classics with the kind of precision you would expect from a specialty shop. Espresso at 20 DH, flat white at 32 DH, and a Spanish Latte that has already built a strong reputation among regulars at 36 DH. The Mocha and Chai Latte round out the hot options, while the signature Latte range goes further — Latte Vanille, Latte Caramel, Latte Pistache, and the standout Latte Sésame Chocolat, all available hot or cold.
All plant-based milk alternatives are included at no extra charge. Coconut, oat, and almond milk are all on offer, which is still rare enough in Marrakech to be worth mentioning.

The Matcha Bar
One of the things that sets Comet apart from the rest of the Marrakech coffee scene is its dedicated matcha programme. The matcha used is ceremonial grade, imported directly from Japan, and the menu built around it is genuinely impressive. The Matcha Classique and Matcha Vanille are the entry points, but the menu extends into Matcha Fraise, Matcha Mangue, Matcha Yuzu, a Limonade Matcha for something lighter, and the showstopper Matcha Coco Cloud — matcha, coconut water, whipped cream, and coconut flakes served cold.
For a city where matcha has only recently started to appear on menus, Comet is operating at a level that would hold its own in any specialty café in Europe or Asia.

The Bakery
Everything in the bakery at Comet is made in-house, every single day. The Cinnamon Roll is available in three versions — original, citron pavot, and noix de pécan caramel — and has quickly become one of the most talked-about items on the menu. The cookie selection is equally serious: chocolate fleur de sel, hazelnut chocolate, pistachio white chocolate, and a Nutella-filled version for the indulgent days.
Beyond the pastries, the food menu covers granola bowls, overnight oats, and a solid sandwich selection built on artisanal bread — Pulled Chicken Brioche, a proper Club Sandwich, Grilled Cheese with mozzarella and comté, and the Croq'Comet for something quick. Fresh juices, smoothies, wellness shots, and iced teas round out a drinks menu that has something for every hour of the day.

The Space
Comet is located on Rue Capitaine Bel Ali Belhaj in Marrakech, and the space reflects the same attention to detail as the menu. The design is clean and contemporary, built for people who want to work, read, or simply sit and breathe without being rushed. The atmosphere is calm and unhurried, which in a city as energetic as Marrakech is genuinely valuable. Reviews from regulars consistently point to the ambiance as one of the main reasons they keep coming back, alongside the quality of the drinks.
